Renovation measures are planned for the corner building, which will enhance the building in the long term. The façade will be given a new color scheme in coordination with the heritage authority, in harmony with the neighboring buildings and in keeping with the historical style. The entrance areas and stairwells will also be given a new coat of paint. The wooden flooring in the staircases will be repaired and fitted with coconut or sisal runners. The installation of high-quality doorbell panels with intercom systems will bring communication at the door up to current standards. Depending on requirements, balconies are repaired according to structural specifications and wooden windows and balcony doors are refurbished.

Karlshorst, the “Dahlem of the East”, has long ceased to be an insider tip. For some years now, young families and couples looking for some peace and quiet on the edge of the hectic city have been drawn to the Lichtenberg district. With the Rheinsteinpark and the Seepark, Karlshorst offers well-kept green spaces for relaxing in the fresh air.
