Description
If you stroll along Nachodstrasse, you can sense stories and history behind almost every façade. This is the winning charm of the buildings from the last century – such as Nachod 20. Bay windows, balconies and projections structure the façade of the classicist old building and create a varied yet harmonious overall picture. In the foyer, many well-preserved structural details are reminiscent of the time when the building was built, the Belle Epoque, for example the columns, plinths, frescoes, the coffered stucco ceiling, the marble floors and the stucco ornamentation. It is the unique mix of stylistic elements worthy of preservation combined with modern fit-out standards in the kitchen and sanitary areas that fulfills all living requirements. This is also ensured by the spacious balconies on the courtyard side. The residential unit on the mezzanine floor of the side wing is allocated a special right of use as a private garden area. Here you can soak up the sun and fresh air.

In the center of the neighborhood
It was the urban developer Johann Anton Wilhelm von Carstenn who gave the area around Nachodstrasse its regular and unmistakable structure around 1872. This was also the time when the beautiful Gründerzeit villas were built, which line the streets in beautiful harmony with the trees. The so-called “Carstenn figure” in Wilmersdorf consists of an avenue in the center of a surrounding street, which in turn is framed by four squares. These are Fasanenplatz and Nürnberger Platz, Prager Platz with its numerous shops, cafés and restaurants, and Nikolsburger Platz, a beautifully landscaped ornamental square where the lovely Güntzelkiez district with its eponymous railroad station and many well-preserved historic streets
begins. The streets leading off the squares form a ring, from which several streets run in a star shape towards the central main road – including Nachodstraße. It is the geographical center of this popular residential area in City West, which, like Viktoria-Luise-Platz just 500 meters away, also has a beautifully landscaped park. A bakery, drugstore, supermarkets and organic food store are all within walking distance. There is also a daycare center and a fitness club in the immediate vicinity. Everything is very relaxed. There is a traffic-calmed zone with a speed limit of 30 km/h at Nachodstrasse 20.
