7. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (www.google.com) The use includes the operating mode “Universal Analytics”. Google Analytics makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymized user ID and thus to analyze the activities of a user across devices.

Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. You can also subsequently delete cookies via your browser settings. Depending on the browser you use, you can set your browser to only accept cookies if you agree to this. As a rule, the help function in the menu bar of your web browser will show you how you can reject new cookies and deactivate cookies you have already received. We recommend that you always log out completely when you have finished using shared computers that are set to accept cookies.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes.

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Section 15 (3) TMG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. 8. Google Maps
On our website we use the offer of Google Maps, a service of Google, Inc. Fortis uses Google Maps to show you via an interactive map on our website where exactly the respective objects are located and to enable you to use the map function as conveniently as possible.

The Google Maps service is accessed directly from Google Inc. servers, so that Google Inc. receives the IP address you are using. When you visit the website, Google also receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. Whether and to what extent or for how long the IP address is stored and used internally by Google is beyond our knowledge. The legal basis for the integration of this service is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that Google will store your IP address and use it to create a profile. Google stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to display needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. 8. Google ads

We use the online advertising program Google Ads from Google Ireland Limited to advertise our products and services in text and image form. We use the conversion tracking feature of Google Ads. When you click on one of our text or display ads, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies are not used to identify you personally and are automatically deleted after 30 days.

The information stored in these conversion tracking cookies enables us to receive reports on the number of visitors who have clicked on a particular ad and thereby led to a conversion. Conversions are key performance indicators (KPIs) for us, such as sign-ups for a trial account of our application. This data helps us to analyze the effectiveness of our advertising and to provide more appealing content.

Further information can be found in the Google guide to conversion tracking.
